Carbide-tipped drill bits are most commonly used for non-tempered glass, ceramics and tiles, the tip is a tiny spade-shaped point made of super-hard tungsten carbide, which is extremely durable and can withstand the friction of drilling into glass.
Application: Glass, Mirrors, Ceramic and Marble Tiles.
Material: Steel with tungsten carbide tip.
Note: If the tile is on the wall, use a masonry bit to finish the hole once through the tile. Max 500 RPM with no hammer action. Tip: Use water or paraffin as coolant when drilling into glass.
